New materials for the MiaCampania capsule collection

Is ceramics a minor art? Looking at the masterpieces of the ceramic masters we can’t think so.

Cameo and ceramic jewelry

We combined ceramic workcrafts with that of the cameo engravers in the MiaCampania collection, using original ceramic artefacts from Calitri and cameos on shell from Torre del Greco to create stunning jewels. The natural clays present in the small town in the province of Avellino attracted several artisans in the seventeenth century. Their know-how was consolidated in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, developing an iconographic tradition with sing sing decoration, vertical lines of different lengths arranged on the circumference of vases and amphorae, with the "mascarine" rose typical of the local vegetation and through the animal elements and those of the fantastic bestiary typical of heraldic coats of arms. Blue, brown and yellow together with green and red are the colors chosen by tradition.

Ceramics with geometric decorations

For our capsule, precious and original with a contemporary design, we have chosen geometric elements on a white background and monochrome tablets in basic black and white colors embellished with golden elements. Each piece is unique and tells a story of creativity, craftsmanship and the history of the territory. Each jewel has been created by expert hands who passionately preserve and pass on an ancient knowledge. Unique jewels created to enhance talent and to honor the authentic beauty.
